Dubai's highest court recently delivered an unequivocal ruling that foreign arbitration awards will be enforced in Dubai in accordance with the UAE's international treaty obligations under the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards ("NYC") . This is welcome news for users of international arbitration and for Dubai's position generally as an international arbitration hub.
