After a five-year battle, TransCanada Corp. may be close to winning approval for its $5.3 billion Keystone XL pipeline, which will transport crude oil from the oil sands of Alberta to Steele City, Neb., 1,179 miles away.



South Dakota offers subsidies to lure lawyers to its small towns

Governor Dennis Daugaard on March 21 signed first-in-the-nation legislation establishing incentive payments to as many as 16 attorneys who agree to practice in rural areas for at least five years.
